Our Services

At Wittmann Vision, we believe clear vision begins with trust. Our practice offers thorough, patient-centered eye care in a welcoming environment.

  • Comprehensive Eye Examination

As our dominant sense, good eyesight greatly contributes to the quality of life. Furthermore,  the eyes are a “window” to your overall health which can offer clues to many diseases/health conditions.  Regular eye exams are an essential part of good health care.

A comprehensive eye exam is a thorough evaluation of your vision and overall eye health.  During the visit, Dr. Wittmann will review your medical and visual history, assess your visual acuity, and determine your prescription if needed.   She will examine how your eyes work together,  check peripheral vision, and evaluate the health of internal and external eye structures using specialized instruments.  You will also receive a screening for glaucoma.  The exam concludes with a discussion of the findings and personalized recommendations to support clear vision and long-term eye health.

If you need eyeglasses, you will receive a prescription which can be taken anywhere to be filled.  If a condition, such as glaucoma or cataracts is suspected, you will receive a referral to an appropriate specialist.

  • Contact Lens Evaluations and Fittings

Contact lenses offer a convenient and versatile alternative to traditional eyeglasses.  They are ideal for active lifestyles, as they stay securely in place during physical activities and sports.  Additionally, they allow for greater freedom in personal style and appearance.

Dr. Wittmann has specialized expertise in fitting soft contact lenses by carefully evaluating each patient’s eye health, corneal shape, and visual needs to determine the most appropriate lens type.  She educates patients on proper lens care and insertion/removal techniques while monitoring for any complications through follow-up visits. This tailored, detail-oriented approach helps optimize visual outcomes and supports long-term eye health.

Your contact lens fitting fee includes a complimentary pair of trial lenses for diagnostic use.  A required follow-up visit will be scheduled 1-2 weeks after your initial appointment to assess the contact lens fit, vision and comfort.  Please wear your contact lenses to this visit.

  • Dry Eye Disease Consultation

Dry eye disease is a very common visual challenge we face here in the desert southwest. Management of moderate to severe dry eye disease is an important part of maintaining overall eye health and clear vision.

If over-the-counter remedies are not working, you can schedule a dry-eye consultation. During this consultation the doctor will obtain additional information, assess tear quality, evaluate surrounding structure function (i.e. meibomian glands) and design a personalized treatment plan for this chronic condition.

  • Medical Eye Examinations

Not all eye problems can wait for your annual eye exam. If you are experiencing eye pain, redness, light sensitivity, irritation, blurred vision, flashes, floaters, a foreign body sensation, or if something simply doesn’t feel right with your eyes or vision, a medical eye examination may be needed.

A medical eye examination is a problem-focused evaluation designed to diagnose and treat eye conditions that affect the health of your eyes and vision. During your visit, Dr. Wittmann will carefully assess your symptoms and provide proper treatment and/or referral, if necessary.
